I Have Great Mortgage Rates from More Lenders - Your bank or credit union has just their own mortgage products and mortgage rates to offer. I can offer the mortgage products of over 40 mortgage lenders (see Mortgage Lender List) and am not tied to any one lender. I am Paid by the Lender - Except where private financing is required, the services of a residential sub-mortgage broker are paid by the lender, and not by the mortgage client. My compensation is based on the size of the mortgage - not the mortgage rate, and my job as your mortgage advisor is to find my clients the best mortgage at the best mortgage rate.
Professional Training and Experience - In addition to the AMP (Accredited Mortgage Professional) designation, I hold a Certified General Accountant (CGA), and Chartered Financial Analyst Designation (CFA) and have worked in the financial industry for over twenty years. My combination of training and experience is different than most sub-mortgage brokers, enabling me to assist those more complex financial situations. Additionally, I am a licensed member of the Mortgage Brokers Association of BC. Note that licensing is not required of mortgage advisors in most traditional financial institutions.
I know your community: As a resident of White Rock BC, with my office in South Surrey, I understand the unique financing challenges of mortgage financing in Greater Vancouver. Having grown up in Victoria, Vancouver Island mortgage financing is another area of specialization.
